67’s slice past Wolfpack.

CANTON – There is still plenty of hockey to be played at the 2019 Mini Chowder Cup, but the Mass Edge 67’s got themselves off to a good start for the tournament. They defeated Wolfpack Hockey 7-2 on Friday at the Canton Ice House.

It was the 67’s with the edge in the first, taking a 3-1 lead into the locker room as the game’s opening frame eclipsed. TJ Cooper, Joseph Monteiro and Cam Cooke accounting for the 67’s goals, Evan Heimer scoring for the Wolfpack.

The Wolfpack went on to double their score in the second half on a power play goal by Carter Singleton. Unfortunately for them, the 67’s went on to do the same, netting four in the game’s second half.

Monteiro had another pair, including a shorthanded score, while Cooke added an addition one to his total. Michael Minchello closed out the 7-2 final.

Keagan Wilson was credited with the win in net for Mass Edge.
