CANTON – The Junior Golden Hawks claimed the ’08 division win on Friday as they defeated BBHS Hockey 3-2 at the Canton Ice House.
It was a quite first half on the game’s scoresheet as is started and ended with a 0-0 score. When the two sides returned to the ice for the second, both offenses turned up the volume.
The Golden Hawks and BBHS traded shots throughout the game’s latter stage. Each time the Golden Hawks scored, BBHS came back to tie it, save for the most crucial one.
Max Dube netted one first for the 1-0 Hawks lead. Ronan Clarke answered back. Briar Dickson re-established the lead. Liam Chartrand brought things back to even again for BBHS.
With the game winding down, Dax Kenney notched a score to give the Golden Hawks their third one-goal lead of the day. Coming in the final minutes, time had all but run out on another BBHS response and the game ended 3-2.
Goaltender Jason Schaubel was credited with the win for the Junior Golden Hawks.
