Flames start with 4-1 win in Canton.

CANTON – The Vermont Flames started their slate at New England Pro-Am Hockey’s 2021 Mini Chowder Cup with a 4-1 win on Friday. They defeated Boston Hockey Club ’07 at the Canton Ice House.

All the game’s offense came in game’s first half, both sides combining for five scores. Mike Doe credited with the Boston score. Ashton Caitlin, Shyam Meyette, Griffin Seitz and Cooper Ludwar coming through for Vermont.

While it was offense in the first half, it was goaltending in the second half. BHC’s Gavin Marengi and the Flame’s Nick Ritchie closed the door from their respective nets to preserve the 4-1 score.
