CANTON – Myers Top Hockey secured their first win of the 2024 Mini Chowder Cup in fine fashion on Saturday morning. They shutout Pure Performance Hockey 3-0 at the Canton Iceplex.
The eventual victors may have had some distance in the end, but it was a tight contest early. The game remained scoreless through its opening half, goaltenders Justin Saulnier for Myers and Ethan Weathers for Pure Performance turning aside every opposing bid sent their way.
Myers’ offense began to click in the second, breaking through the back wall for three to set themselves up for victory. William Boyko, Alex Saulnier and Guillaume Foucault credited with the goals in the 3-0 win.
