ATTLEBORO – The New Jersey Mayhem nabbed a 2011 division win at the New England Sports Village Saturday morning. They defeated Little Rhody/DMV 3-1 on Day 2 of the 2024 Mini Chowder Cup.
It was a defensive contest at first. Both goaltenders – Brady Marksamer for Rhody, John Jellick for Jersey – were near perfect in the game’s opening half. The only strike coming in the form of a Vinny Gulotta goal that gave New Jersey a 1-0 advantage at the break.
New Jersey began to build a little traction and gain some distance from their foe on the scoreboard. Gulotta came through with another and Alex Mozuraitis added the team’s third.
Colton Livingston did get Little Rhody on the board with a second half tally, but there was no comeback to be had. The game concluded 3-1.
