Northeast Selects top Pro Hockey Development.

FOXBORO – After a 1-1-0 showing on Day 1 of the 2019 Mini Chowder Cup, the Northeast Selects got their preliminary round record above .500 to start Day 2. They defeated Pro Hockey Development 6-1 on Saturday morning at the Foxboro Sports Center.

The two sides played it close early, trading goals near the start of the game; Maddox Goudie for Pro Hockey and Selects’ James Reen. Late in the period was a different story as Reen netted another, as did his teammate Will Smith, setting the score at 3-1 midway through the contest.

Northeast’s offense continued to hum in the second half, while netminder Tyler Bloomfield was able to subdue all Pro Hockey’s bids. Jason Zaccari, Griffin Crain and Dillan Lowe all contributed in the scoring column to bring the score to its final, 6-1 Northeast Selects’ advantage.
