Foxboro, Mass. — Prep Prospects 2012 Elite and NH Knights 2012 Elite traded momentum throughout Saturday night’s matchup, with both teams finding timely goals in a hard-fought 4-4 draw.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS:
Prep Prospects 2012 Elite struck first when Tommy Hutchison (#17) opened the scoring off an assist from Roen Gibson (#19). NH Knights answered less than a minute later as Nico Perna (#49) evened the score with Hunter Bergeron (#18) earning the assist.
The Knights took their first lead of the game midway through the opening period when Bennett Waddell (#7) finished a play set up by Chris Kaskiewicz (#81). Prep Prospects responded with back-to-back goals from Isaac Nagase (#11) and Drew Farley (#98) to carry a 3-2 advantage into the intermission.
NH Knights came out flying in the second period, drawing even on Waddell’s (#7) second goal of the night before he completed the hat trick less than a minute later, again with assists from Kaskiewicz (#81), to put his team back in front.
Prep Prospects refused to go away, however. Hutchison (#17) netted his second goal of the game late in the period, with assists from Gibson (#19) and Nicholas Assante (#6), leveling the score at 4-4.
Neither side could break the deadlock the rest of the way, and the teams settled for an entertaining tie.
