Foxboro, Mass. — Rapid Hockey Red 2012 Elite capitalized on an early power-play opportunity and never relinquished the lead, edging NorthStar Elite White 2012 Elite, 2-1, on Sunday morning.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS:
Rapid Hockey Red 2012 Elite broke through first when Simon Boivin (#26) converted on the power play off assists from Nicholas Santos (#6) and Thomas Black (#94) to take a 1-0 lead.
A few minutes later, Zackary Taher (#54) doubled the advantage, giving Rapid Hockey Red a two-goal cushion.
NorthStar Elite White answered before the end of the period as Jack Caulfield (#20) cut the deficit to 2-1, but it would be the only goal Rapid Hockey Red allowed all game.
Neither team found the back of the net in the remainder of the contest as Rapid Hockey Red’s defense stood firm, securing a hard-fought one-goal victory.
