Rebels top Sharks for second ’07 win of the tourney.

ATTLEBORO – After a win and a tie on the opening day of the 2021 Mini Chowder Cup, the Rhode Island Rebels started off their second day of play with a win on Saturday morning. They topped the NS Sharks ’07 4-1 at the New England Sports Village.

Looking to pace their quest to advance to Sunday’s playoff round, the Rebels came out with a pair of scores in the game’s first half to stake themselves an early lead. Mike Foley and Tucker Cobbery each credited with a score to make it 2-0 Rhode Island at the intermission.

A shorthanded score by Mike Tober early in the second cut the lead to 2-1, but Aidan Forcier came through with his third and fourth goals of the tournament to make it 4-1 and put the game away for the Rebels.

Angelo Evangelista was credited with his first win of the weekend in the Rhode Island net.
