Florida burns Battery, 3-1.

FOXBORO – Starting off their first day of play at the 2022 Mini Chowder Cup, the Florida Dragons defeated Battery Hockey Academy 3-1 in ’08 division play at the Foxboro Sports Center.

The first half was a tight one, with just one goal in the frame. Brady Barber came through with a goal assisted on by Avi Kasargod to give Florida a 1-0 lead that lasted until the break.

Battery got going first in the second half with a goal by Michael Corbin to draw things back to even, but the Dragons did not let their victory slip away. Another from Barber and a goal by Ethan Couture put Florida back on top and added a little insurance for their 3-1 victory.

Barber’s two goals lead the game in scoring. Ziggy Mazanowski and Johnathan Weiss split the victorious netminding duties, each playing a half for the Dragons.
