Janko, Roc City out run Top Speed, 7-5.

FOXBORO – Roc City Elite is no stranger to racking up wins when it comes to New England Pro-Am tournaments, and their 2010 squad is continuing the tradition at the onset of the 2023 Mini Chowder Cup. They posted wins in their first two games, the second of which was a 7-5 victory over Top Speed Hockey on Friday afternoon at the Foxboro Sports Center.

While the game belonged to Roc City in the end, the first half belonged to Top Speed as they found themselves leading the contest 3-2 at the intermission.

Out of the break, Roc City turned the tide as forward Carson Janko put on an offensive display.

The Dallas Stars Elite product, who had already contributed on both Roc City goals in the first half (1G, 1A), poured in four of his team’s five goals in the second half to lead the 7-5 victory.

Andrew Gu led the Top Speed offense with a pair of assists in the game, while Colton Vanicky and Joseph Dibona were the other Roc City goal scorers.
