CANTON – The second day of preliminary round play at the 2023 Mini Chowder Cup got underway on Saturday morning. The day’s schedule opening up with a 2-1, come-from-behind win for the 128 Elite Raiders over Top Notch Hockey Development at the Canton Ice House.
Goals were at a premium throughout the contest. The game’s first half seeing just one scored, a goal credited to Evan Bannister that gave Top Notch a 1-0 lead at the intermission.
It was a lead that lasted until the latter half of the latter half when Carter Felt drew the game back to even for 128 and made it 1-1 with about eight minutes remaining. Jack Queally then broke the tie with about five to play and gave 128 their final 2-1 lead of the contest.
Netminder Will Torres was credited with the win for the Raiders. His second of the tournament.
