CANTON – Rapid Hockey Development 2010 made a strong opening statement in their tournament opening contest. They opened the 2023 Mini Chowder Cup with a 12-1 route of Performance Hockey Group in 2010 division play on Friday morning at the Canton Ice House.
It was six a half for the Rapid Hockey offense, posting six scores in each of the game’s two frames with 11 skaters in total registering a point. Of the 11, six were credited with multipoint games, led by Rory Shaughnessy with two goals and two assists. Samuel Salomon (2G, 1A), Benjamin Carreno (2G, 1A), Anthony Cossette (2G), Ashton McAlear (2G) and Maxine-Alexandre Beaudoin were those joining Shaughnessy in the game’s multipoint club.
Goaltender Xavier Lanctot was near perfect in net for Rapid Hockey, just one blemish on his stat line.
