Roc City shoots past Stars.

CANTON – After a rocky start to tournament play, Roc City Elite ’05 opened up their second day of play at the 2019 Mini Chowder Cup in much better fashion. They posted a 5-2 win over Stars Select on Saturday morning at the Canton Ice House.

The game started as a draw and then finished its opening half in the same state as each side scored twice in the frame. Remy Chartol and Clayton Prial were on the board for Roc City, George Proffitt and Ryan Shimelman for the Stars as the game went to the locker room tied 2-2.

Upon return, Roc City picked up their game further, bettering their offensive output from the previous half, as did goaltender Aiden Wright, who kept his side of the scoresheet clean in the second. Prial, Connor Stokes and Han Shin did the damage to make the score it’s 5-2 final.
